Feb 6th Back in Finland.
We were forced to quit the EartPain- tour in Russia a bit earlier than we
thought. At first Kiana would like to thank all the people who came to see
us during the tour. You really know how to have good times! Cheers for you
all!! And thanks for the hospitality to the Samara crew. That was amazing.
To the point. Before we started the tour we of course made a contract with
the local Draug Management about the details of the tour. We sent both
technical and hospitality riders in advance, not asking anything special,
and the management replied that they are ok. So everything was fine and we
were sure that things will be taken care of when we get to Russia. We came
to the country following the absorption principle, meaning that we took
care of the costs of the visas, travelling there etc. The deal was that
the local management would take care of rest of the costs when we get
there. Those included accommodation for 8 people, warm food twice a day
and the critical stuff needed to make the show happen, like some clean
water and towels. The problems started as soon as we got to Saint
Petersburg. Continuing in Tula, where the local promoter was so shitfaced
she couldn’t do her job. We had to take care of our food & water etc and
everything else as well. Next gig in Nizhny Novgorod things were quite ok,
and we had a lot of fun. We were surprised that the local promoters hadn’t
even checked the backstage rider we had sent there in advance. Everything
was missing and we used our own money to make the shows happen. That was
not a part of the deal. That might be a local habit we weren’t heard of,
but we believed the word of the local management.
Next day after the gig in NN we started to travel towards Samara where we
were supposed to play the next day. We were travelling by a really small
bus if considering the fact that there were 8 people from Kiana, 4 people
from Fall From Reality, driver, our own backline including guitars,
amplifiers, basses, keyboard stuff, drum stuff and FFR’s backline stuff as
well. We were not complaining about this at all. At the time we had been
travelling for about twelve hours the local police stopped us in Tolyatti.
We thought that was just a routine check and were really calm and just
sitting in the bus. We were really waiting to get to Samara since we
hadn’t had anything to eat or drink during the day. Couple of guys of FFR
went outside to talk with the police and we just waited them to come back.
They didn’t. The next thing what happened was that the police came to the
bus shouting in Russia that we need to come out of the bus with our hands
up and make a line next to the bus. We did that and the police checked our
clothes, wallets, passports and pockets really precisely pushing us around
like we were some kind of cattle. After that we were forced to unload our
stuff from the bus and carry them inside the police checkpoint. They
searched our stuff out for 3 hours not finding anything illegal or
suspicious. We saw that a member of FFR was held in a jail in the check
point and we knew something was not right. Uncertainty rose among us and
the local police were very rude towards us, pushing us back and fort and
not telling what was going on. They escorted us and our stuff back to the
bus and there we were, sitting in bus in front of the check point just
waiting. The bus was cold and wet and it was freezing outside. After
spending there all together about 5 hours we finally started moving. In a
police convoy! To the police station of Tolyatti! They forced us outside
the bus again and the atmosphere was really depressing. Not really knowing
what was going on we were commanded to get in the bus and stay there. Then
police took the bus driver with them and left. It was in middle of the
night, in the middle of fucking nowhere, in the middle of the freezing
Russian winter. The guys of FFR told us some details and said that it
would not take long to get the driver and their member out of the station.
So we just waited in the bus. We tried to get some sleep but it was not
easy since the police and crew members were opening the door of the bus
all the time and checking the bus with flashlights etc. We stood there the
whole night.
After spending more than 24 hours without any food or water in the bus the
driver finally got out the station. The member of FFR was still in jail
and the local police then said that we can leave now towards Samara. This
whole incident was just too much for us. We didn’t have anything to do
with the whole mess and we were really fucking stressed and fucked up
because of this, as were the guys from Far From Reality. While we were
driving towards Samara we decided that this was is it for Kiana now. After
so many disappointments the worst happened and we were forced to quit the
tour. We talked about not getting involved with the local police by any
means with the local management before the tour and we got convinced that
nothing like this would happen. We weren’t getting any money from the
local promoters or anything so the decision to leave was easy. We agreed
to play the gig in Samara even though we only had somewhat 2 hours of
sleep before the show.
The gig was good, as were the gigs in Saint Petersburg, Tula and Nizhny
Novgorod. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the local people coming
to the shows. You really now how to rock and that’s only a good thing! But
the rest was not organized the way they should have been.
We are sorry that we didn’t have a chance to play the rest of the shows.
We would have wanted to play in every city but the situation made it
impossible. We agreed to play the shows when the local management agreed
to take care of us when we were there. This agreement was broken as soon
as we got there. The bus driver was also so fed up that he would have left
tour anyway so he gave us a lift to Moscow. He was not getting paid as was
agreed with the tour manager beforehand. FFR would have been able to
finnish the tour without us, but they decided to go home too. They could
have taken a new bus from Samara if they had wanted to continue, but they
didn't.

Mor!
The Almighty EarthPain tour is starting tomorrow, we are ready to turn the
whole Russia upside down. Some minor changes have been done to the tour
schedule, check 'em out from the Gigs section. There are some really good
wibes in our camp concerning this tour and we hope that everyhting goes
well. Local beer is good, at least so we heard:)
Some more gigs will be added to the gig list right after we get back from
the tour. Metallia Perkele 2010 is totally happening, more news about it
later on.

MaaTuska-tour alkaa huomenna ja meillä tunnelmat katossa. Muutama pieni
muutos tuli vielä kiertuesuunnitelmaan. Useita paikallisia klubeja on
suljettu Permissä sattuneen yökerhopalon jälkeen Venäjällä ja muutama
meidänkin keikkipaikka sai laudat oviinsa. Koitetaan päivitellä
jonninmoista kiertuepäiväkirjaa joko tänne kotisivuille tai meidän
facebook-ryhmään.
Keikkoja lisätään listaan kun tullaan takasin reissusta. Finnish Metal
Expo lähenee ja samoin Metal Awards, joten Kianaa voisi äänestellä

Hola! All the dates of the forthcoming Earthpain tour are now booked. We will spent some good 10 days in Russia playing 9 gigs in a row. We have been continuing writing the new material for our next full lenght record and I think we are getting in to the zone. Actually, we are in the zone! More about this etc later this year. What's up? Russian tour coming up!
Year 2010 starts with a blast. We'll play few gigs in Finland in January and from 29th of Jan to 7th of Feb will we tour in Russia with a local fellow metallers, Fall From Reality. The Earthpain Tour will include up to 9 gigs all around the huge country.

We've been busy writing a shitload of new material and so far it has been
just pure pleasure. Antti and I have been working with the new material
since we ended the studio session of Abstract Entity and now we are going
through the material with the rest of the band and things are looking
fu#king good. Jani has also been working with some songs and all together
we've like more than +10 new songs coming up already!
Metallia Perkele tour ended like one month ago and it took couple of weeks
to heal all the wounds we gathered during the tour! Huge thanks to
Grendel, Anger Cell, Ghoul Patrol, Coredust and Jarkko Viitasaari, it was
a hell of a rid3! More is to come! Soon!

Suomeksi ja. Eli vuosi 2010 alkaa vähän erilaisissa merkeissä. Soitetaan Grendelin kanssa muutamat keikat Suomessa ja 29.1 suuntaamme Venäjälle ja aloitamme Venäjän kiertueen kera paikallisen metalliaktin, Fall From Realityn. Earthpain- tour 2010 (Maatuska-kiertue) käsittää ~10 keikkaa siellä täällä Venäjän kamaralla. Kiertuepäivät voi katsoa listauksesta ylempää.
Sieltä päästyämme onkin pari viikkoa aikaa valmistatua Finnish Metal Expo vetoon. Perjantaille on varmistunut liuta järjettömän kovia nimiä. Sitä odotellessa!
Ollaan tehty helvetillinen läjä uusia biisejä ja sitä hommaa jatketaan tässä nyt nopeassa temmossa. Hommat luistaa loistavasti. Tässähän saatta liipaista studioon ennnen ensi kesää.
Metallia Perkele Tour päättyi ja Kiana haluaa kiittää Grendeliä, Anger Celliä, Ghoul Patrolia, Coredustia ja Jarkko Viitasaarta aivan loistavasta kiertueesta! Uuttahan pukkaa jo, seitan!

Metallia Perkele! -rundi on mennyt enemmän kuin hyvin, homma toimii, eikä ole pahaa sanottavaa mistään. Kiitokset tähän mennessä Mäntässä, Hyvinkäällä, Oulussa, Tampereella, Porissa, Helsingissä ja Seinäjoella hommaa todistaneille ihmisille! Vielä on jäljellä rundista muutama veto, ensi pe Salossa ja sitten marraskuussa Forssassa, ellei sitten keksitä lisää, joka on kyllä mahdollista.

Tiedote
KIANA julkaisee esikoislevynsä.
Hyvinkääläinen, vuonna 2005 perustettu modernia metallia takova KIANA julkaisee debyyttilevynsä "Abstract Entity" syyskuun viimeinen päivä. Bändi solmi levytyssopimuksen Symbolic Records Finlandin kanssa heinäkuun loppupuolella, mutta epävirallisesti yhteistyö julkaisun tiimoilta alkoi jo keväällä.
Julkaisua edeltää koko syyskuun kattava Metallia Perkele -kiertue Grendelin ja Anger Cellin kanssa. Syyskuun alusta alkaa myös levyn ennakkomyynti. Ennen tulevaa debyyttilevyään KIANA on julkaissut kaksi EPtä; vuonna 2006 "Deep Inside" ja "Reflections" vuonna 2007.
Eli näillä mennään! Ennakkoon voi tilata levykauppa x:stä syyskuun alusta lähtien! Siitä lisää infoa myöhemmin. Hyvät vibat.
